Establishment of the European umbrella organisation
The Section Phycology is one of the founding members of the Federation of European Phycological Societies (FEPS). The objective of the European umbrella organisation is to promote the study, conservation and application of algae, to support educational activities and lobbying on European grounds on matters involving algae, their present and projected roles.
